Montana Saga Chapter 14

The minutes tick by...no Rya. Everyone at the Conrad mansion is worried. Henry and

Harrison's watches go off. It's a GPS warning from the SUV. Back on County Road 12

Henry's SUV is rushed by Nicholas Kiver, Dennis Dankers and Eric Schmit after Rya

kills Gregory Landt. It took some effort to break into the SUV, the four time, they succeeded. Rya managed to press the red panic button which alerted the Fleet

Tracker System back at the Yellowstone kitchen. "Harrison, go find Rya!" Henry ordered.

Georgene sees where the erratic activity is coming from on the monitor, Harrison

grabs the keys to his midnight blue truck, runs out the door, jumps into his truck and takes off.

Back on County Road 12, Nicholas Kiver is trying to pull Rya out of the SUV, but Rya has her arms wrapped for dear life around the steering wheel. "

"Dennis, dammit, grab her arms and pull 'em off the steering wheel!" Nicholas orders

Following orders, it takes Dennis a good 10 minutes to pry her out of the SUV. When

they finally get her out, they throw her to the ground, she hits her head on the road., which

disorients her for a few minutes. She tries to grab at their feet, but the men grab her hands and feet, laying her sideways on the road, pinning her hands and feet to the ground. Nicholas Kiver steps forward and begins kicking her abdomen repeatedly while her own

grandmother Francine Harrington stands outside the SUV smiling the cruel act taking place before her.

"Go ahead bitch! Let them kick me to theirs and your heart's content. My Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ will protect me from whatever you throw at me!!!" Rya screamed defiantly.

It wasn't long before the kicks she received to her abdomen rendered her unconscious.

Francine steps up to her beaten, unconscious granddaughter, looks at Eric Schmit and

says, "shoot her in the palms."

Eric Schmit without conscience, or care, stepped forward shooting a bullet into each of

her palms.

Eric Schmit helps Nicholas Kiver move Gregory Landt's body to the back flatbed of the SUV. shuts the doors and takes off. Harrison arrives on the scene in time to see both vans pulling away. Spotting Rya's unconscious body laying in the dirt.

Harrison runs to Rya's side, falls to his knees, and checks her pulse. "Keep fighting

Rya. keep hanging on." Harrison says as he finds her pulse in her wrist, weak, but it's

there.

Harrison calls the Yellowstone Ranch Medical Transport helicopter.

"Mr. Grant, what's the emergency?" The medic at the Yellowstone Ranch asks.

"I need the Medical Transport Helicopter flown to County Road 12 halfway between

Levi, North, Dakota and the Yellowstone Ranch. It's Rya Steahl.. She's been shot through

the palms of her hands--" Harrison says to an unconscious Rya, "I'm sorry, but I need to check for injuries." Harrison slices through her dress with his pocket knife and sees a hint

of bruising peeking over the top of her bikini briefs, pulling her bikini briefs down a little more, he sees more extensive bruising. After not hearing from Harrison for two minutes,

the Yellowstone Ranch Medic screams into the phone, "MR. GRANT! ARE YOU STILL THERE? MR. GRANT! ANSWER ME!" the medic screams.

"I'm still here, I was checking her injuries. she has extensive bruising to her abdomen, her

pulse is weak...HURRY!"

"Roger that, Mr. Grant!. I know that location. I'll come there with my partner." the call ends.

Harrison makes a call to Henry Conrad who's waiting in a roomful of nervous family members and friends.

Henry answers his cell phone on the first ring. "Harrison, what's going on?? WHERE THE HELL IS SHE??" Henry yells into his cell phone frustrated and worried.

Rya's family, Sara and Kira Lane, Roman Conrad and Zach Grant are yelling in the

background wanting to know the same thing.

"Mr. Conrad," Harrison hesitated for a few beats. "Rya's been attacked. She was shot through the palms of her hands." Harrison hesitated for a few beats more, "Mr. Conrad,

I cut through her dress to check for more injuries, she has extensive bruising on her abdomen. The Yellowstone Medical Transport helicopter is here, I need to go...Mr. Conrad,"

Harrison hesitated for another long beat. "Her father did this...meet me at Trauma 1 Hospital. Harrison ends the call.

Before the medics load Rya onto the helicopter Harrison stops them, "I need to get her

K.O.M. necklace." The medics step back and he bends down to carefully removes it from her necklace and puts it in his shirt pocket. The medics load her on the helicopter and bring her to Trauma 1 Hospital. Harrison turns to where he previously saw Roman's gift in the dirt, a 24ct gold belt buckle with his name on it, covered in dirt and Rya's blood. He picks it up, places it in his pocket along with Rya's K.O.M. necklace, jumps in his truck with Roman Conrad and races to the hospital.
